At St Mark’s CE Primary School, we recognise the importance of ensuring that all children continue to receive a high-quality education, even when they are unable to attend school in person. While we believe that children benefit most from being in school, there may be exceptional circumstances where remote education is required.

Remote education may be provided when an individual child, group of children or the whole school is unable to attend school due to circumstances such as significant illness, public health emergencies, severe weather conditions, local or national events, or other situations where access to the school site is temporarily affected.

Our Remote Education Plan outlines how we will ensure continuity of learning during these periods. It sets out the expectations for pupils, parents and staff, the platforms and resources that may be used, and how we will continue to support children’s academic progress, wellbeing and engagement.

Any remote education provided will aim to reflect our commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring that children remain connected to their school community and continue to Love, Grow and Succeed Together.
