At St Mark’s CE Primary School, we believe that bringing learning to life helps children to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Alongside our carefully planned curriculum and educational visits, we provide opportunities for children to engage with a range of visitors and specialist experiences that enhance their learning and create memorable moments.

Visitors are carefully selected by teachers to complement and enrich the knowledge and skills being developed in the classroom. Whether children are discovering prehistoric life through a dinosaur workshop, exploring new worlds through immersive VR experiences, or stepping back in time to become Romans for the day, these experiences provide opportunities for children to engage with their learning in exciting and meaningful ways.

These experiences help children to develop curiosity, ask thoughtful questions and make connections between their classroom learning and the wider world. They encourage children to develop important skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving and creativity, while helping them to see how knowledge can be applied beyond the classroom.

Through our programme of visitors and enrichment opportunities, we aim to inspire children, broaden their horizons and create experiences that they will remember long after they leave St Mark’s. These opportunities form an important part of our commitment to Loving, Growing and Succeeding Together.
