  • Clubs, Enrichment & Personal Development

At St Mark’s CE Primary School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. We are committed to providing a wide range of enrichment opportunities that develop children’s character, confidence, talents and understanding of the world around them. Through carefully planned experiences, we aim to ensure that every child has opportunities to discover new interests, develop important life skills and create lasting memories.

Our enrichment offer is designed to support children’s personal development through a broad range of opportunities, including our Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) provision, educational visits, visitors into school, after-school clubs, sporting activities and opportunities to experience new challenges. These experiences enable children to develop teamwork, resilience, creativity, independence and a sense of belonging within the wider school community.

We also recognise the importance of supporting children’s wellbeing and emotional development. Through access to our Safari Room, children can benefit from a range of targeted support and opportunities designed to help them regulate emotions, build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning. This provision reflects our commitment to ensuring that every child is known, valued and supported as an individual.

Throughout their time at St Mark’s, children are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of experiences that broaden their horizons and help them to understand their place in the world. These opportunities build progressively, culminating in the Year 6 residential visit to Astley Burf, where children are challenged to step outside their comfort zones, develop independence, strengthen friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Through our enrichment and personal development programme, we seek to ensure that every child has the opportunity to Love, Grow and Succeed Together
