Message from Carole Smith, retiring Head teacher of St Mark's
The Easter break is coming to an end and tomorrow, I begin my journey into retirement. As I say my final farewell to St Mark's, I cannot leave without saying a huge THANK YOU to all the children, the families, the staff team and the many friends I have made over the years from the community of Pensnett for the retirement cards, the thoughtful gifts, the flowers and all the best wishes for my retirement. I have been overwhelmed and very humbled by the care and generosity shown by you all for me at this time.
It has been an amazing journey, serving the community of Pensnett for all these years, a real privilege. I am confident that the new Head teacher, Mr Keith Rondeau, will be made welcome by the community of Pensnett and will serve you as I have done, with the children at the heart of all that he does. I wish Mr Rondeau and St Mark's every success for the future.
