Welcome to Year 4/5 - Nightingale!
We have 25 children in Nightingale class who love to learn!
Our Class teacher is Miss Clarke and our teaching assistants are Mrs Kowolik and Miss Foster.
Mrs Thomas also teaches in our class once a week.
On Thursday afternoons we have P.E. During the Autumn term leading up to Christmas our lessons will be inside for Gymnastics.
Homework is set at the beginning of each half term. There are 6 pieces and children can bring in their homework anytime during the 6 weeks.
Our topic this term is all about Greece. In the first half term we have been learning about Ancient Greece and in the second half term we will be learning about the Geography of Greece.
This half term we have finding out about how ancient Greek's lived, and how they have influenced how we live today.
During our P.E lesson this half term we have been learning how to play Netball. We have been practicing different types of passes, footwork, rules of the game and playing in games against each other.
The Dudley Mile!
Nightingale class, along with Churchill, Dickens and Shakespeare classes are taking part in the Dudley mile. Every day after morning register has been taken, all four classes go onto the playground or field and walk for 15 minutes in the hope that we will have at least walked a mile. The hope of doing this everyday for 15 minutes is to help improve children's health and for children to socialise with others which will help their communication and social skills.
